The New Interdisciplinary School [NIS]

The New Interdisciplinary School (NIS) is a non-profit early childhood learning center founded in 1976. NIS is an approved New York State Education Department 4410 preschool provider, and approved by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) as a child care center. NIS serves over 400 children from infancy to age five with and without disabilities. NIS's main site is in a 35,000 square foot child-centered building, with four state of the art outdoor playgrounds and a newly established outdoor learning center. NIS offers a licensed child care program for infants and toddlers, nursery school, an on-site Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) class through the Longwood School District, and a centered-based early intervention enhanced group.
